Skerry Marine Systems has appointed Dr Priya Raman as director of autonomy, with responsibility for subsea navigation, the K4 Manta programme and long-duration mission planning.

Raman joins from the National Oceanography Centre, where she spent nine years leading the navigation team on long-range AUV deployments, including under-ice missions in the Antarctic.

Priya has spent a decade solving navigation problems in the places where nothing works. That is exactly the discipline the K4 programme needs.
