UK Companies Gain Access to Ukraine's AI Drone Training Data Platform

The British Ministry of Defence has partnered with Ukraine's Avengers AI Labs, granting UK companies access to a platform for training AI for battlefield drones. This marks the first time Ukraine has shared its wartime data and machine-learning infrastructure with an external government. The platform contains over 5 million battlefield frames and millions of object detections, primarily from Ukraine's DELTA system. Data is anonymized and released with a delay, and UK companies operate within a secure perimeter without downloading the dataset. The initiative aims to foster defence innovation and strengthen capabilities for both nations.
