Exail has introduced the Marins M1, a compact inertial navigation system (INS) utilizing Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG) technology. This system is designed for smaller naval platforms, including uncrewed surface vessels (USVs), uncrewed underwater vehicles (UUVs), and tactical craft. It aims to provide resilient navigation in environments where Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) may be degraded or unavailable, addressing size, integration, and cost considerations for these platforms. The Marins M1 delivers position, heading, roll, and pitch data with a specified drift rate.
