HII Awarded U.S. Navy Contract for 10 ROMULUS Unmanned Surface Vessels

HII has secured a contract from the U.S. Navy to construct 10 ROMULUS unmanned surface vessels (USVs) as part of the Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel (MUSV) program. This development signifies a move towards fleet-scale deployment of autonomous capabilities within the Navy. The ROMULUS USVs will incorporate HII's Odyssey Autonomous Control Solutions (ACS), a system designed for trusted, coordinated operations. HII is collaborating with partners including Applied Intuition, Greenroom Robotics, and Rodi Marine, and is leveraging a distributed production model with regional shipbuilders and manufacturing partners.
