Kongsberg Secures Up to $404 Million Framework Agreement with USMC for NSM Equipment

By ASR Newsdesk ·

Norwegian company Kongsberg has entered into a framework agreement with the U.S. Marine Corps for the production and sustainment of Naval Strike Missile (NSM) launcher units and associated support equipment. The agreement, potentially valued at $404 million, may extend through 2034 and supports the U.S. Marine Corps’ Navy/Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS). This system integrates an NSM launcher with a remotely operated ROGUE-Fires vehicle and a separate command-and-control vehicle, providing a mobile anti-ship capability for distributed maritime operations.

Why it matters

The agreement establishes a long-term framework for the U.S. Marine Corps to field, maintain, and regenerate dispersed firing units, crucial for operations in temporary and austere locations.
